There’s now less than a month to go for Stand By For Action! 2: Tunes of Danger!

This spectacular one-off concert will bring the music of Gerry Anderson’s thrilling worlds to life through a live orchestra performance. From dangerous adventure to cosmic grandeur to underwater mysteries, the music of Thunderbirds, Space: 1999, Stingray, and beyond will be performed in an evening full of nostalgia and excitement. Hosted by Jon Culshaw, Stand By For Action! 2: Tunes of Danger takes place on Saturday, July 13th at Symphony Hall Birmingham. Book your tickets now!

Let’s countdown five reasons to get excited for this year’s musical extravaganza!

5. Surprising Setlists

Stand By For Action! 2: Tunes of Danger follows on from 2022’s Stand By For Action concert, which proved to be an enormous success with Anderfans. We’ve listened to your response to that concert and can ensure that this year’s concert will feature a distinctly separate selection of music compared to 2022’s event. Music rarely performed live will feature, as well as numerous favourites from across many of the Anderson soundtracks.

We’ve recently revealed two unique features of this year’s selection: the stirring, grandiose Zero X theme and The Protector‘s theme: Avenues and Alleyways! This year’s concert is broken down into numerous themed sections focusing on key strands of Anderson’s worlds. From spies and secret agents to massive machines, the sun and the stars, and big favourites, anything musical will be happening in the next Stand By For Action concert!

4. Cosplayers & Exhibitions

Prior to the concert, fans will be able to enjoy displays, exhibitions, and fun opportunities for the cosplayers amongst you! Professional cosplays of Captain Scarlet and Rhapsody Angel will be at the concert, along with a selection of Anderson-flavoured backdrops for you to enjoy taking pictures of yourselves within. As well as these interactive parts of the concert, there will be a selection of original Gerry Anderson memorabilia, classic merchandise, and models and props for fans to enjoy. These displays and exhibitions can be viewed from 2 PM at the Symphony Hall itself.

3. Deadly Concerto

Stand By For Action! 2: Tunes of Danger will also be taking advantage of Stingray‘s 60th anniversary with an exclusive live performance of a brand new Stingray story! Deadly Concerto is the first instalment in Anderson Entertainment’s trans-media narrative Stingray: Deadly Uprising, and acts as a prelude to the other stories that will be released in the coming months. Deadly Concerto will be performed by the concert’s host, Jon Culshaw, alongside Marc Silk, Jules de Jongh, Wayne Forrester, and Nicholas Briggs.

2. Exclusive Ander-merch

VIP tickets ensure that you receive a variety of exclusive Official Gerry Anderson merchandise, which includes the following: a specially produced concert programme, a Stingray 60th anniversary tote bag, a limited edition Stingray audio drama, a limited edition Stingray art print, and a copy of the cooperative card game Thunderbirds: Danger Zone. VIP tickets also ensure that you’ll receive the best available concert seats and a special meet-and-greet with the concert’s cast and performers.
