5…4…3…2…1…Thunderbirds are GO! In celebration of International Thunderbirds Day September 30, Shout! Factory TV and ITV Studios will live stream a 34-hour marathon of the Supermarionation series Thunderbirds on Twitch. This global event can be enjoyed by fans around the world, who will be able to watch all 32 episodes from the show’s original run, complete with bonus content including the three Thunderbirds 1965 episodes – three new classic-style episodes based on original 60s audio recordings.
The marathon begins Sunday, September 30 at 7 a.m. PT / 3 p.m. BST on Shout! Factory TV’s official Twitch channel, which will also be hosted by the official Gerry Anderson Twitch channel. International Thunderbirds Day celebrates the anniversary of the first TV broadcast of Thunderbirdsin the UK, over 50 years ago on September 30, 1965.
Twitch also allows fans to interact while watching, so this event looks set to be an amazing way for Gerry Anderson fans all over the world to connect to one another!
