Stand by for comic book action!
The Stingray Comic Anthology Vol. 1: Tales from the Depths is now available to pre-order from the Official Gerry Anderson store! The first of our two Stingray Comic Anthologies this year collected the first three years’ worth of Stingray’s electrifying comic strip adventures from the pages of TV Century 21.
From January 1965 to August 1968, the Stingray strip was one of TV Century 21‘s flagship titles, allowing the comic to blast off to incredible success as one of the greatest TV tie-in comics of all time. The Stingray strip was illustrated by a stunning array of British comics artists, including Ron Embleton, Gerry Embleton, Michael Strand, and Jon Davis.
Stingray‘s classic comic adventures have undergone painstaking restoration by the anthology’s designer, Rob Hammond (Terrahawks Comic Anthology, Robin of Sherwood: The Complete Look-in Comics, The Tomorrow People: The Complete Look-in Comics). Also included is a pair of essays by writer/researcher Fred McNamara charting the history of Stingray‘s comic strip adventures during TV Century 21‘s peak years, providing contextual publication history, artist biographies and critical commentary. This first anthology comes packaged in a vibrant, action-packed cover from Star Wars, Commando and Battle Action artist Keith Burns.
The anthology also forms the third and latest instalment in our celebratory trans-media narrative, Stingray: Deadly Uprising. As well as the classic TV Century 21 stories, Tales from the Depths features five brand new Stingray comic adventures, the first batch of brand new Stingray comics since the 1970s!
Stingray: Shadows from the Deep

The leaders of the failed Altantean invasion of the land are finally brought back to Marineville to face trial for their crimes against the W.A.S.P. However, X-20 is already concealed in Marineville and seizes perfect opportunity to stage a daring rescue and bring the might of the Atlanteans into alliance with Titan’s growing forces.
Stingray: Warning Below the Waves

Stingray rescues Queen Asteria of Olympia from an undersea disaster, impressing her and causing her to doubt previous reports of W.A.S.P. aggression. When Titan subsequently approaches Asteria and requests her allegiance, she refuses. Enraged, Titan makes an example of Olympia with a deadly aquatic attack.
Stingray: The Undefeated

Following X-20’s discovery of activity in the Yellow Sea, Titan leads an armada to investigate and discovers the surviving remnants of the Solarstar race. Eager to capitalise on the Solarstar’s weakened position, Titan orders them to join his alliance or be destroyed. The Mighty Leader of the Solarstars agrees, but he has his own plans for Titan.
Stingray: Shifting Seas

A disastrous first meeting with a new undersea race who have the ability to camouflage themselves leaves the Stingray crew in deadly peril. Investigating a mysterious ship graveyard, Troy and Phones are ambushed by the other-worldly creatures and it’s only with Marina’s assistance that the pair of aquanauts is saved.
Stingray: Voyage to Danger

W.A.S.P. installations are being destroyed by tsunamis that appear to be artificial in origin. Stingray investigates and the crew soon realise they may have met their match. The attacks are being perpetrated by Titan’s newest allies, the Astacus. These undersea aggressors are led by the imposing Gamarus, whose Tyrant Wave device proves to be Stingray’s downfall.
