This week's NEW episode of the Gerry Anderson Podcast featured special guest Matt Richardson! Matt has memories of playing with Thunderbirds toys as a child - but how does his Gerry Anderson knowledge rate on the Andermeter? And what will he make of this month's Randomiser offering? You'll have to come back IN TWO WEEKS to see how he gets on with the Fireball XL5 episode Trial by Robot!
Just a reminder, the Gerry Anderson Podcast now lives on its own YouTube channel, which you can subscribe to here!
This week's free episode of Terrahawks saw Zelda launch an attack against Earth's gold reserves, in The Midas Touch!
Continuing our series of articles looking at the 10 most popular Space: 1999 stories (as voted by our followers), this week it was the turn of The Bringers of Wonder to go under the spotlight!
This week's archive complete-interview-in-one videos included comics artist Lee Sullivan...
and Space: 1999 actor Anton Phillips!
Once again, remember that the Gerry Anderson Podcast now has ITS OWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL and new FORTNIGHTLY episodes are ONLY being uploaded TO THE NEW PODCAST YOUTUBE CHANNEL, alongside these archive episodes. Why upload these archive episodes? Firstly, they offer a chance to see both halves of an old interview in one single video (which we thought people might appreciate, especially people who hadn't already seen them or might only be interested in the interviews) and secondly they help to grow the new channel's audience - AND THUS HELP US TO CONTINUE TO PRODUCE THE PODCAST.
We were sad to hear that actor Kenneth Colley passed away this week (June 30th) at the age of 87. Best known as Admiral Piett in The Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi, Kenneth's long stage and screen career included playing Devlin in The Protectors episode Dragon Chase, plus appearances in series like Poirot, Inspector Morse, Eastenders, The Sweeney and The Avengers to name a few. In addition to Star Wars, his big screen roles also included playing Jesus in Monty's Python's Life of Brian. Our thoughts go out to all who knew him.
This week's free episode of Space Precinct is Hate Street, premiering 6pm UK time this evening on our YouTube channel!
Celebrating a birthday this week was Terrahawks and New Captain Scarlet voice artist Jeremy Hitchen, while popular Anderson episodes to receive their UK television premieres this week in decades past include Four Feather Falls' Best Laid Plans (June 30th 1960), Space Precinct's Flash (July 1st 1995), Supercar "Take One" (July 1st 1960) and Terrahawks' Time Warp (July 5th 1986).
