With the 50th anniversary of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967) approaching, we look behind the scenes of the recording of The Spectrum Files!
Starring Wayne Forester and Liz Morgan, and directed by Jamie Anderson, let The Spectrum Files take you back to 1967, the original broadcast year of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.
Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons tells the story of the Mysterons from Mars’ attempts to take over planet Earth, using their powers of retro-metabolism, possessing the power to recreate an exact likeness of an object or person. The only people able to stop them are the organization Spectrum, and one man fate has made indestructible – Captain Scarlet.
Originally brought to our television screens by Gerry Anderson with his pioneering technique of Supermarionation and continuing his legacy at Big Finish is his son Jamie Anderson. The Spectrum Files, written by ‘John Theydon’ (pseudonym of writer John William Jennison) and directed and produced by Jamie Anderson, tell three stories from the Spectrum universe, and were originally released in 1967, the same year as the TV series!
