Dirk Maggs on the Gerry Anderson Podcast

Dirk Maggs on the Gerry Anderson Podcast

Dirk Maggs is a freelance writer and director and is principally known for his work in radio, where he evolved radio drama into “Audio Movies,” a near-visual approach combining scripts, layered sound effects, cinematic music and cutting edge technology. Dirk has been a fan of Gerry Anderson from an early age. In part one of this chat, he talks about Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray and Thunderbirds – particularly focussing on the sound design and music.

Plus listener emails, the randomiser, FAB Facts, and some technical issues for our ruby (40th) podcast!

Beyond this chat with Dirk Maggs, you can hear a whole host of other interviewees on our previous 39 editions of the Gerry Anderson Podcast!

Hosted by Olivier nominee Richard James (Space Precinct, Terrahawks) and Gerry Anderson’s son Jamie Anderson, the Gerry Anderson Podcast is a weekly audio extravaganza featuring Gerry Anderson chat, news, interviews, reviews, competitions and more.

The podcast is released every Monday on iTunesStitcherSoundcloud and all other major podcast providers and platforms. Or you can listen to all our episodes right here.
