We are very sorry to announce that Century 21 stills photographer, Doug Luke, died last night. Doug was responsible for capturing many iconic images from the various Supermarionation shows – and continued to work with Gerry Anderson on his later productions too.
Doug was also responsible for the stills photography on the bizarre and little-known 60s Century 21 comic series: Candy & Andy.
Doug hadn’t been heard from in many years, until James Fielding (stills photographer on Filmed in Supermarionation) tracked him down last year. With James’ help the team behind the definitive documentary were able to get the only ever on-camera interview with Doug.
