Lavender Castle at the 2016 IONAWR exhibition - The Gerry Anderson Store

From the archive: 6 February 2016. This report describes a past exhibition. It is not a current event listing.

Rodney Matthews at the Bishop’s Palace

Rodney Matthews’s IONAWR exhibition brought a selection of his artwork to the Bishop’s Palace in Wells, Somerset. The title is Welsh for “January”. The display included album-cover work for bands such as Magnum, Nazareth and Thin Lizzy, alongside book illustration and work connected with his screen projects.

For Anderson fans, a small Lavender Castle display offered a rare opportunity to see artwork and stop-motion puppets from the series alongside the wider body of Matthews’s work.

A record of an exhibition

The original report advertised a closing date of 24 February 2016. That event has ended; the photograph and report remain here as part of the Lavender Castle archive.
