2025 is go! The new year has now blasted off at Official Gerry Anderson, so let's monitor all transmission frequencies from Anderson Entertainment over the coming months - and what further surprises may be readying on the launchpad...
2025 brings with it a barrage of significant milestones for several classic worlds from Gerry Anderson. September 2025 marks the 60th anniversary and 50th anniversary of Thunderbirds and Space: 1999, respectively. February 2025 marks 20 years of New Captain Scarlet, while January 2025 marks 60 years of TV Century 21 - a veritable swarm of anniversaries!
Collectables, Manuals & Blu-rays
We've previously teased what may be coming throughout 2025 in celebration of Thunderbirds' anniversary, but we shan't be forgetting many other atomic-powered worlds of adventure as the year progresses. Our collectable models, Technical Operations Manuals, comic anthologies and collector's Blu-ray boxsets continue to prove hugely popular with Anderfans, so you can almost certainly expect to see similar releases throughout the year.
Plenty of releases announced last year are gearing up for blast off as the early months of 2025 progresses. Our UFO collectable model, complete with spinning top, is currently descending to invade your homes. You'll also be able to discover the secrets of the World Aquanaut Security Patrol in March with the long-awaited releases of the Stingray Technical Operations Manual, available in both standard and special editions.
Our 60th anniversary celebrations of Stingray stretch into the new year with the release of Stingray Comic Anthology Vol. 2: Battle Lines, estimated to be arriving in February. As well as thrilling comic strip adventures from TV Century 21, Countdown and Lady Penelope, Battle Lines concludes our epic trans-media narrative, Stingray: Deadly Uprising, with several brand new comic strip adventures which thrust readers into the saga's electrifying finale. Will Titan succeed in his audacious gamble of laying waste to Marineville once and for all with the help of other underwater aliens?
March will also see the touchdown of our Space Precinct 30th Anniversary Collectors Edition Blu-ray. Speaking of Space Precinct, Richard James' brand new forthcoming novel, Space Precinct: Fight the Future, will be arriving in February. Outside of our own efforts, Corgi have recently unveiled the first batch of their stunning die-cast collectable models of the classic Thunderbird craft, now available to pre-order.
And that just covers the first couple of months! But what else may be in store as the year continues?
Celebratory Retrospectives
Thunderbirds and Space: 1999 will be receiving plenty of recognition this year. It's rather too early to reveal too much about what else we have planned to celebrate what many fans consider to be Gerry Anderson's two greatest achievements, but rest assured we have plenty of exciting surprises in the works.
Away from merchandise releases, we'll be marking Thunderbirds and Space: 1999's anniversaries with plenty of celebratory material across the Official Gerry Anderson website and social media channels. Last year, we asked for your favourite Stingray episodes that you'd liked to see reviewed in-depth by Fred McNamara on the Official Gerry Anderson blog. Our resulting Stingray Deep Dives explored 10 of Stingray's best-loved episodes, as chosen by you.
We'll be asking the same of you for Thunderbirds and Space: 1999! This year, we'll be splitting coverage between analytical deep dives and behind-the-scenes articles, so keep your eyes on our social media channels for when we ask you to cast your votes for your preferred episodes.
Not forgetting the 60th anniversary of TV Century 21, keep your eyes peeled for incoming transmissions from the Official Gerry Anderson YouTube channel. Agents Ben Page and Fred McNamara are preparing to bring you the latest space and spy news from the 21st century...
All of the above is still just a smattering of what we have planned for 2025! With Stingray: Deadly Uprising nearing its riveting conclusion, might we see further multi-media efforts telling brand new adventures for Thunderbirds and Space: 1999? You'll have to stand by for action to find out!
