On this day, we remember the man who, with the considerable help of a multitude of talented artists and creatives, devised, created and produced more than twenty television shows and four feature films across half a century.

New Thunderbirds & Space: 1999 4K Restorations

Following on from the rapturous fan response to last year's 4K restorations of classic episodes from Thunderbirds and Space: 1999, further 4K steelbook releases of fan-favourite adventures from International Rescue and Moonbase Alpha are in the works!

As revealed on Tuesday's livestream, our next 4K double-bill of Thunderbirds will consist of Atlantic Inferno and Attack of the Alligators!. For Space: 1999, Year 2's debut episode, The Metamorph, will be the next Moonbase Alpha episode to receive the 4K treatment. We're also hoping to bring these spectacular ultra high definition viewing experiences back to cinemas! Our plans for Space: 1999 in particular involve pairing our previous 4K restoration of Breakaway and The Metamorph into a double-bill.

The Space: 1999 The Metamorph 4K Collectors Edition Steelbook will be available to pre-order next month, while the Thunderbirds Atlantic Inferno/Attack of the Alligators! 4K Collectors Edition Steelbook will be available later in the year.

All Sections Alpha: The Making of Space: 1999

The definitive history of Moonbase Alpha is nearly ready for blast off! Fred McNamara and Tim Heald's exhaustive Space: 1999 series guidebook, All Sections Alpha: The Making of Space: 1999, had been unfortunately delayed from its intended launch earlier this year - but, for a very special reason. Dr Helena Russell herself, Barbara Bain, has been enthusiastically involved in the editing process of the book, supplying plenty of absorbing details about the making of the series that enliven this already sprawling account of the series' production.

In addition to Barbara Bain's exclusive insights, All Sections Alpha boasts a stunningly retrofuture visual flavour from the book's designer, Rob Hammond, purposefully designed to transport you back to the future-past of 1999 as envisioned by Gerry and Sylvia and everyone else involved in Space: 1999's creation. All Sections Alpha: The Making of Space: 1999 will be arriving with fans later in the spring.

Thunderbirds Badge Set

This 15 carat gold plated Thunderbirds pin badge set captures the five classic International Rescue craft in gorgeously minute details and follows on from our previous Thunderbirds collectable coins and medal sets. These badges are designed by renowned Gerry Anderson illustrator Lee Sullivan and are packaged in a luxury display box, accompanied with a certificate of authenticity. This limited edition set will be available to order in a few short weeks!

International Rescue Technical Operations Manual

Chris Thompson and Andrew Clements made a special appearance on the Gerry Anderson Day 2026 livestream to reveal details on the much-awaited International Rescue Technical Operations Manual. As revealed on the livestream, this definitive in-universe mechanical dossier on the operational workings of International Rescue will be published in both standard and special editions. The special edition comes in a brilliantly designed briefcase, complete with fantastic prints of the Thunderbird craft and a stunning replica of Scott Tracy's mobile control console microphone!

A special livestream exclusively for the International Rescue Technical Operations Manual will take place on the 24th of April, the launch date of the manual's pre-order. Eagle 1976

Another much-anticipated release is the forthcoming giant Eagle: 1976 collectable playset. This superb reimagining of Mattel's large-scale 1970s Eagle toy from Space: 1999 promises to spark your inner child with its interactive features, imposing scale and screen-accurate design. The Alpha edition of the Eagle: 1976 is en-route to the UK and will be dispatched to those who have pre-ordered as soon as it's arrived. Thunderbird 3 Die-Cast Collectable

International Rescue's Single Stage to Orbit Rocket will be the next Thunderbird craft in our line-up of premium die-cast collectable models based on the classic I.R. hero vehicles. This stunningly authentic display model captures Derek Meddings' innovative design of Thunderbirds' rarely utilised yet still widely beloved space rescue vehicle. Our Thunderbird 3 die-cast collectable will be available to pre-order at the end of May.

New Captain Scarlet Collectors Edition Blu-ray

Gerry Anderson's final television series to be produced in his lifetime will be the next release in our growing line-up of Blu-ray boxsets of classic Anderson creations. The New Captain Scarlet Collectors Edition Blu-ray brings all 26 episodes of the darkly adventurous CGI reimagining of the War of Nerves in HD, complete with restored original titles and original 5.1 soundtrack.

The boxset also comes packed with a fantastic range of additional features, including a brand new documentary on the making of the series and a new Super Space Theatre style compilation film, The Legend of New Captain Scarlet. Fans will also be able to enjoy a full-cast audio adaptation of the infamously unmade episode House of Dolls! The New Captain Scarlet Collectors Edition Blu-ray will be arriving later in the summer. 

New Multimedia Narrative! Thunderbirds: Hidden Dangers

Thunderbirds are blasting back into brand new adventures with our newly unveiled multimedia narrative - Thunderbirds: Hidden Dangers! This newly produced series of original and exciting adventures is set within the classic canon of the original 1965 television series, telling new adventures set before, after, or inspired by classic TV episodes.

Hidden Dangers will consist of multiple instalments. Thunderbirds: Hidden Dangers: Burnout is a four-issue comic series by Chris Thompson and Conor Flanagan that brings the question of how the Tracy family grapples with fatigue following an unstoppable barrage of dangerous rescues, culminating in one of the outfit's most challenging mission yet.

Hidden Dangers will also consist of a short story collection, International Rescues, edited by James Swallow (Star Trek, Space: 1999, UFO, Judge Dredd, Warhammer) and with brand new stories from such creators as Paul Cornell (Doctor Who), M. G. Harris (Gemini Force One), Genevieve Gaunt (Thunderbirds), and more. Hidden Dangers continues with a new comic anthology of newly produced Thunderbirds comic adventures, edited by Dan Whitehead (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Terrahawks) and featuring such creators as Ned Hartley (The Beano, Spider-Man), Clark Bint (Killtopia, Rebel Moon), Lee Sullivan (Transformers, Doctor Who) and more.

Laboratory Eagle

The sixth and final Eagle in our line of definitive die-cast collectable models of Space: 1999's iconic star vehicle will be the Laboratory Eagle. This configuration of the iconic Eagle shuttle craft most notably appears in Year 2's opening episode, The Metamorph. The Laboratory Eagle collectable die-cast model is currently aiming for pre-order later in July. 

Thunderbird 2 Miniature Edition

This fantastically sculpted edition of International Rescue's iconic heavy duty transporter craft brings a new and pocket-sized display factor to your Thunderbirds collection. Expertly produced with brand new tooling, this 1/850 scale model delivers crisp panel lines, screen-accurate proportions and and a premium painted finish straight out of its box. The Thunderbird 2 Miniature Edition model is an impressively compact 90 x 70 mm in its dimensions, making this the perfect small-scale representation of Thunderbird 2 for your shelf.

Captain Scarlet Super Space Theatre Blu-ray

Prepare for laser beams and Mysteron High Councils! Captain Scarlet's two 1980s compilation movies will be the next instalment in our growing range of HD versions of the Super Space Theatre releases. Like our Space: 1999 and Thunderbirds SST Blu-ray sets previously, you'll be able to enjoy Captain Scarlet vs. the Mysterons and Revenge of the Mysterons from Mars in either pristine high definition or nostalgic standard definition! 

This latest SST set also comes with a plethora of bonus features, including a brand new Super Space Theatre movie, compiled by Chris Dale - Target: Captain Black. The Captain Scarlet Super Space Theatre Collectors Edition Blu-ray will be available to pre-order soon!

Ed Straker Figure

SHADO commander-in-chief Ed Straker will receive a brilliantly sculpted and hand-painted resin figure, based on his memorable gun-toting appearance in the UFO classic Timelash. This dramatically captured figure will be available to pre-order later in the year.

Die-cast Skydiver collectable

SHADO's sleek UFO defence submarine, Skydiver, will be joining our die-cast collectable range with this superbly rendered two-in-one release. Fans will be able to enjoy Skydiver's unique ability to launch its interceptor craft thanks to the model's detachable Sky-1 craft. Further details on our Skydiver die-cast collectable model will be revealed later in the year.

Thunderbird 5 Die-Cast & New Thunderbird 2 Die-Cast Collectables

We couldn't complete our range of Thunderbirds die-cast collectables without International Rescue's space monitor! Thunderbird 5 will appear as a future entry in our die-cast collectable range - but that's not all. Our die-cast collectable range launched with Thunderbird 2, a model that proved incredibly popular, sold out rapidly, and have been inundated with requests for a re-release. 

Thunderbird 2 is blasting off back into action, not as a re-release, but as a newly produced entry in our die-cast range, this time with advanced tooling that allows for a removable pod and detachable landing legs! This new and improved collectable Thunderbird 2 model will follow on from the upcoming die-cast Thunderbird 3 collectable and will appear later in the year.

The Secret Service Collectors Edition Blu-ray

This was surely the least surprising reveal on Gerry Anderson Day, simply because we technically revealed our latest Blu-ray release on April the 1st. You didn't actually believe it was an April Fool's gag, did you?

Following on from New Captain Scarlet's upcoming Blu-ray, The Secret Service, the very last Supermarionation TV series produced by Century 21 Productions, is the latest release. Restored from its original film elements, this short-lived swansong of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's puppet empire will receive its definitive home entertainment release. Restored in striking high definition and packed with special features, The Secret Service Collectors Edition Blu-ray breathes new life into the spy-fi adventures of Father Stanley Unwin. This unmissable Supermarionation release will be available to pre-order later this year.
