This limited edition boxset presents the three cult classic Thunderbirds compilation movies, Thunderbirds to the Rescue (1980), Thunderbirds in Outer Space (1981), and Countdown to Disaster (1982), all restored in stunning high definition. These 'movies' were originally produced in the early 1980s under the Super Space Theatre banner by ITC Entertainment, following from their earlier success with Space: 1999's Destination Moonbase Alpha and Alien Attack. Each movie weaves together a pair of classic Thunderbirds episodes into a (mostly!) cohesive viewing experience. 

Originally released on home video, these compilation movies became the only way of enjoying such definitive episodes as Trapped in the Sky and Terror in New York City during the early days of VHS releases. Now, these beloved films have been rebuilt from high definition restorations of the original episodes themselves, ensuring a breath-taking level of detail never before seen on these cult compilations.

The three compilation movies are presented in 4:3 full-screen format with movie and episode soundtrack options and are region free. The Blu-ray boxset also comes with standard definition variations of these movies to allow you that nostalgically imperfect VHS experience! The set also comes with a mini-documentary presented by Chris Dale and Super Space Theatre consultant, David Hirsch, poster presentations of the original movie artwork, and reproductions of 12 promotional postcards, originally made to tie in with the movies' releases.

The Blu-ray set also features Thunderbirds: The Machines and Thunderbirds: Heroes and Villains. These two VHS documentaries were produced for Thunderbirds' 30th anniversary and feature Gerry Anderson guiding viewers through the world, characters and vehicles of the classic series.
