This stunning 5-disc boxset collects all four of the Space: 1999 compilation movies released under the Super Space Theatre banner. These unique combinations of classic TV episodes present Space: 1999 as a cinematic tour-de-force, revitalising the series for the fledging home video market back in the 1980s. The films include Destination Moonbase Alpha (1978), Alien Attack (1979), Journey Through the Black Sun (1982) and Cosmic Princess (1982). All four of these cult classic films are presented in high definition restorations and can be enjoyed either in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios and with the option of episodic soundtracks on the 16:9 presentations or original movie-based soundtracks on the 4:3 versions (plus episodic soundtracks on Cosmic Princess and Journey through the Black Sun).

The collectors edition comes with a fantastic variety of bonus material. These include an HD edition of Spazio: 1999, the Italian compilation film produced to introduce Space: 1999 to Italian audiences. Unique to this Blu-ray set is a brand new Space: 1999 compilation film - Prisoners in Space! 

Also included are VHS versions of Cosmic Princess and Journey Through the Black Sun, and an unrestored 35 mm film print version of Destination Moonbase Alpha, allowing you the option of that authentically nostalgic viewing experience!
