We are excited to announce that “New Blades” model makers recruitment fair, which has been going since 2002 will now be offering the Gerry Anderson Film Miniature Award.
“New Blades”, a recruitment fair hosted by 4D Modelshop will feature over 100 graduates from: the Arts University Bournemouth, University of Hertfordshire, Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), University of Bolton, Coleg y Cymoedd, Nottingham Trent University and the City of Glasgow College. Its goal is to showcase the talent of graduates as well as providing a place for employers and students to meet in a creative space.
On display will be many examples of sculpting, filming miniatures, architectural models and so on and they will be on display to both industry professionals and the public.
In addition to the line up of awards, sponsored by the Asylum, the Pinewood Studio Group, Dyson, the Machine Shop and more, Anderson Entertainment will be sponsoring the Gerry Anderson Film Miniature Award.
Andy Feron a representative from 4D Modelshop, who curates the show said:
‘We are delighted to have backing from Anderson Entertainment. We aim to give the graduates as much exposure as possible and having such a household name on board is a big coup for the show’.
The shows and films Gerry Anderson produced are renowned for their stunning model work and for being career starters for legends such as Derek Meddings, Steve Begg and Mike Trim. The have gone on to inspire other filmmakers such as George Lucas, Peter Jackson and Richard Taylor.
The show takes place on Thursday 8th June at the Holborn Studios and anyone interested in 3D design in all its guises is welcome to attend.
