Join us for the Firestorm World Premiere!
Anderson Entertainment and Firestorm Productions are proud to announce the Firestorm World Premiere! The pilot minisode of this brand new Gerry Anderson puppet series will be screened at MCM Comic Con on 27 October 2018.
Gerry Anderson’s Firestorm was originally devised by the Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet creator in 2001, and after several years of development, the team are finally ready to screen the 9-minute pilot minisode for up to 600 Gerry Anderson fans at this one-off special event at 1pm on Saturday 27 October.
Filmed in ‘Ultramarionation’, Firestorm sees a return to old-school techniques but brought right up to date. Combining puppets, miniatures, and practical effects with the latest in post-production techniques mean that Firestorm brings a unique combination of nostalgia and contemporary style to the screen.
Accompanying the screening will be a unique opportunity to hear a panel of the show’s cast and crew talk about the production process, show exclusive behind the scenes material, and answer your questions about the next generation of Gerry Anderson puppets!
The panel will be moderated by Nicholas Briggs (Doctor Who) who also voices ‘REMUS’ in the series and features:
- Steve Begg – Series FX Supervisor and Director (Kingsman, Spectre, Skyfall, The Commuter, Lost in Space, Aliens)
- Jamie Anderson – Series Producer, and son of Gerry Anderson
- Gethin Anthony – Voice of Sam Scott (Game of Thrones, Aquarius)
- Mike Tucker – Miniature FX Supervisor (Red Dwarf, Doctor Who)
… with more panellists and guests to be announced.
The panel and Firestorm World Premiere screening will be followed by a signing opportunity with panellists.
So buy your tickets now – for Saturday 27th October 2018, and we’ll see you there! The premiere is a free event to attendees on the Saturday of MCM Comic Con London.
And let us know you’re coming via our Gerry Anderson’s Firestorm World Premiere Facebook event!
To whet your appetite, why not check out an early puppet movement test that was undertaken as part of Firestorm’s development – Ultramarionation puppets can walk, run, jump, and even kick things!
