We were very excited to find out about Neil Cole’s ‘Museum of Classic Science Fiction’ project on Kickstarter yesterday.
Situated in the marketplace of a beautiful, historic village and nestled within the stunning scenery of The North Pennines; the museum will tell the chronological story of the science-fiction genre, beginning in the late 1800’s with H.G.Wells. The journey will be told using original, production-made movie and television props, costumes and published artwork.

And of course the museum will have a Gerry Anderson section – so this is a brilliant way for fans to support an independent sci-fi museum, but also to help preserve the legacy of Gerry Anderson.
At the time of writing the project is over 75% funded with over three weeks to go, so we’re pretty certain it’s going to hit its funding goal. But if you like the idea then please get behind Neil’s fantastic project.
