One of the highlights of any Anderson series is the soundtrack, and the releases of those soundtracks are always warmly received by fans! In recent years Network have released Space Precinct and New Captain Scarlet soundtracks, while Fanderson have been releasing many comprehensive albums of Anderson scores for its members since the late 1990s. For those who aren’t members of that club however, one company has continued to provide commercial CD releases of the soundtracks to many classic Anderson shows since the mid 2000s; Silva Screen Records!
As well as several albums of compilations and cover versions, Silva Screen have released albums of original Barry Gray (and Derek Wadsworth) music starting with a Thunderbirds release in 2003. The company have recently relaunched their Anderson soundtrack collection range and we’re proud to carry their latest titles in our online store. At present, four single-disc soundtrack albums are available;

Other notable Anderson-related Silva Screen releases include the album Stand by for Action, a compilation of Barry Gray music from Anderson shows from Four Feather Falls to Space:1999, which features Silva’s first (and so far only) release of any original music from Four Feather Falls, Stingray and The Secret Service. Among the many Doctor Who titles they have released over the years was an album of Malcolm Lockyer and Bill McGuffie’s scores for the two Peter Cushing Doctor Who movies, for which Barry Gray also supplied electronic sound effects. Again, both of these are now out of print but still available digitally.
More Barry Gray and Anderson soundtrack releases from Silva Screen are expected over the coming years; we can’t wait to see what comes next, and will let you know as soon as we do!
