This week in Gerry Anderson News

Attention all sections Alpha; as we are we have power, environment, and therefore a way to read the Gerry Anderson news roundup!

This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Sunday evening, and featured the first part of an interview with TV presenter Dallas Campbell! If you prefer to stick with traditional audio-only rather than our new and improved video format you can still catch it (and all other previous episodes) every week either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice.

Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) Joe 90 became a Wild West sheriff in the episode Lone-Handed 90!

September 13th was Breakaway Day, the 25th anniversary of the day that the events of the first episode of Space:1999 culminate on! This weekend Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel is playing host to a special 50th anniversary celebration – will you be there?

The new Space:1999 roleplaying game core rulebook is now available to pre-order from the Official Gerry Anderson Store! This week we also published several new articles to help you get to grips with the game; what is an RPG, where to start, and how to make your game feel like an episode!

As part of our Stingray 60th anniversary celebrations (and the buildup to the release of the first volume of the Stingray Comic Anthology) we published a new article this week counting down our top 10 Stingray TV Century 21 adventures!

This week’s Thunderbirds Thursday article celebrated the non-IR rescue vehicles and technology from the world of 2065!

September 8th marked 95 years since the birth of Stingray ‘s Troy Tempest voice artist Don Mason (September 8th 1929), while September 13th was (appropriately enough!) Space:1999 star Barbara Bain’s birthday. Popular Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Four Feather FallsGold is Where You Find It (September 8th 1960), New Captain Scarlet‘s Virus (September 10th 2005), Space:1999‘s Force of Life (September 11th 1975) and The Exiles (September 11th 1976).

We’ll be back next weekend with another Gerry Anderson news roundup – will you be joining us? Human decision required!
