Space:1999 is also back on British television! From today new channel Rewind TV is airing the series Saturday mornings at around 8.45am, with repeats Saturday afternoons (16.45-ish) and Sunday mornings (8.45ish again).

This week saw the anniversaries of the births of not one but three Anderson actors; Supermarionation voice artist and live action guest actor Neil McCallum (May 20th 1929), Joe 90 voice artist Rupert Davies (May 22nd 1916), and UFO actor Basil Moss (May 25th 1935). Popular Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Four Feather Falls‘ Dusty Becomes Deputy (May 19th 1960), Fireball XL5‘s A Day in the Life of a Space General (May 19th 1963), Stingray‘s Plant of Doom (May 23rd 1965), and Terrahawks‘ Space Cyclops (May 24th 1986).
