It’s the Gerry Anderson news roundup, all systems go – good luck!
This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Sunday evening, and featured the first part of an interview with Space Precinct stuntman – and Cyborg – Glenn Marks! If you prefer to stick with traditional audio-only rather than our new and improved video format you can still catch it (and all other previous episodes) every week either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice.
Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) Moonbase Alpha faced alien infiltration in the Space:1999 episode Seed of Destruction!
With Stingray‘s 60th anniversary drawing ever closer, the Official Gerry Anderson Store is now selling this limited edition reproduction vinyl set of the three Stingray mini-album audio adventures from the 1960s (which is also available on download).
Following last week’s sad news about the passing of long-time Anderson actor David Graham, you can now read our full tribute to him in this new article.
This week’s Thunderbirds Thursday article also saluted David Graham, by taking a look at the many characters he voiced across the series!
We’re sad to learn of the passing of actor Nigel Lambert, who played a SHADO technician in the UFO episode Computer Affair. Nigel’s long stage, screen and voiceover career also included guest roles in Doctor Who, The Avengers, Blakes 7, but he was perhaps best known for voicing the narrator in Look Around You.
Popular Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include UFO‘s Exposed (September 23rd 1970), New Captain Scarlet‘s Best of Enemies (September 24th 2005), Space:1999‘s War Games (September 25th 1975) and One Moment of Humanity (September 25th 1976), and The Secret Service‘s A Question of Miracles (September 28th 1969).
Great work, fellas – see you back at base!
