Okay Atlanta – sound launch stations for this week’s edition of the news roundup!

This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Sunday evening, and featured the first part of an interview with Space Precinct‘s Sergeant Fredo, actor David Quilter! If you prefer to stick with traditional audio-only rather than our new and improved video format you can still catch it (and all other previous episodes) every week either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice.

Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) Torchy the Battery Boy visited a whole new world as he paid a visit to Topsy Turvy Land!

This week’s big merchandise launch was the first volume of our two-volume Stingray comic anthology collection! Now available to pre-order from the Official Gerry Anderson Store, Tales from the Depths collects the first three years of Stingray‘s comic strip adventures in the pages of the legendary TV Century 21 comic in twenty-one exciting stories, alongside five brand new strips created especially for this anthology as part of our 60th anniversary Stingray saga Deadly Uprising!

Doppelganger, aka Journey to the Far Side of the Sun, premiered in the US 55 years ago this week! To celebrate, we’re taking our own journey into the unknown with a new article looking at this curious, quietly surreal sci-fi drama;

This week’s Thunderbirds Thursday article took a look at T-Force – Gerry Anderson’s lost 1980s Thunderbirds remake!

Even sixty years after it was first filmed, we’re still learning about the production of Thunderbirds – and this week saw some exciting vintage footage discoveries made by the team at Century 21 Films!

This week saw the anniversaries of the births of two prominent Anderson actors – Terrahawks‘ voice artist Windsor Davies (August 28th 1930) and UFO star George Sewell (August 31st 1924) – while popular Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Four Feather FallsBandits Abroad (August 25th 1960) and Space:1999‘s Dorzak (August 25th 1977).

Looks like the news roundup is now seaborne – we’ll be back next weekend to set sail for adventure once again!
