Howdy folks – say, you’re just in time for the latest edition of the Gerry Anderson news roundup!
This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Monday, and was recorded in front of a live audience at the BritSciFi event at the Leicester Space Centre on Saturday June 17th! As well as all the usual features the Podcast featured a very special live performance of the recently rediscovered unfilmed Four Feather Falls script Dusty’s Day – featuring the voice talents of Richard James, Chris Dale, and Doctor Who’s Sophie Aldred as Tex Tucker’s four-legged friend Dusty! If you missed this week’s episode you can catch it (and all other previous episodes) either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice – and we’re hoping to have video of the Podcast available soon!
Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) the Supercar team were lured into a trap by Masterspy and Zarin in the episode False Alarm!
Many of the Official Gerry Anderson team were at the Space Centre for the BritSciFi event last weekend, and in addition to a live recording of the Gerry Anderson Podcast there was also a recording of FAB Live, plus a selection of original models, replica craft and puppets, and our merchandise stall! Were you present? Did you have a good time? Did you meet like-minded fans? Did you learn about the art of drawing Fireball XL5? Let us know in the comments below!
On Wednesday this week’s FAB Fact video travelled back in time to the Leicester of 20 years ago to investigate an unusual take on the Captain Scarlet universe! Watch the video to find out more!
At the recording of the Podcast came a special announcement; beginning on July 3rd, the Podcast will be recorded on camera from a new studio at the Thunderbirds-themed Moxy hotel in Slough! You can still enjoy the Podcast on audio, but if you fancy watching along – and seeing Jamie, Richard, Chris and guests live on camera – you’ll now have that option too!
