It’s been another action-packed seven days in our corner of the Anderson universe – here’s all the things you need to know!
This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast included as its special feature the second half of an adventure from the pages of Stellar Patrol, a short story anthology now available from the Official Gerry Anderson Store written by Richard James based on Gerry Anderson and Fred Freiberger’s unproduced television concept IGR4 (or Intergalactic Rescue 4). If you missed this week’s episode you can catch it (and all other previous episodes) either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice!
Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) Lieutenant Green was put through the wringer when her long lost father returned to Earth – under Mysteron control – in the New Captain Scarlet episode The Homecoming!
On Wednesday this week’s FAB Fact video went live, looking at a never-used piece of SHADO hardware with an interesting origin – the amnesia watch!
Staying in the world of UFO we also uploaded this special thirty-minute documentary to celebrate International Women’s Day!
The popularity of the recent archive podcast interview with Century 21 Merchandising head Keith Shackleton inspired a new video series over on the Official Gerry Anderson YouTube channel, where Keith tells the Story of the TV21 Comic Empire – and part 2 is available from today!
March 10th was the third day of our 10 Months of Terrahawks celebration, and up for grabs to one lucky winner is this bumper crop of Terrahawks items! Want to be in with a chance of winning? Just visit our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram feeds for more information!
Now shipping from the Official Gerry Anderson Store are the three new six-inch Space:1999 action figures from Sixteen 12; Commander John Koenig, Professor Victor Bergman and Controller Paul Morrow, all wearing the Moonbase Alpha spacesuits. We have very limited stock of these figures, so be sure to order yours as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
Also new to pre-order from the Official Gerry Anderson Store are the upcoming Silva Screen soundtrack release of Joe 90 on CD, and this new T-shirt design featuring a movie poster design inspired by the UFO episode The Cat With Ten Lives!
Anderson actors with (posthumous) birthdays these week included Captain Scarlet and Joe 90 voice artist Martin King (March 10th 1933), while popular Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Stingray‘s Eastern Eclipse (March 7th 1965), Captain Scarlet’s Place of Angels (March 8th 1968), Joe 90‘s Lone-Handed 90 (March 9th 1969), and Thunderbirds’ Attack of the Alligators! (March 10th 1966).
That’s all the news for this week – but stand by for more action next week!
