Marineville – it’s time for the Gerry Anderson news roundup!
This week’s edition of the Gerry Anderson Podcast launched on Monday and featured a complete interview with broadcaster and oral historian Alan Jein, as he takes us into the weird world of Candy, Andy and the Bearandas – now available from the Official Gerry Anderson Store! If you prefer to stick with traditional audio-only podcasts rather than our new and improved video format you can still catch it (and all other previous episodes) every week either through our website or via your podcast platform of choice.
Also new this week over on the Gerry Anderson Randomiser Podcast (also available on all podcast platforms) a Test Flight gone wrong means another mission for Joe 90!
This week’s big merchandise launch was the first in our premium line of model vehicle collectibles, which kicked off on Friday with the Space:1999 Eagle transporter and Rescue Eagle! Each model is a limited edition of just 1500 units and can be pre-ordered individually or as a pair from the Official Gerry Anderson Store. Currently you can also get them at a special discounted price – but only for launch weekend!
New today on our YouTube channel is a short feature continuing our look at Gerry Anderson’s early life – and the beginnings of his filmmaking career!
Popular Anderson episodes that first aired in the UK this week in years past include Space:1999’s Dragon’s Domain (October 23rd 1975), Captain Scarlet‘s Avalanche (October 27th 1967), Joe 90‘s Colonel McClaine (October 27th 1968) and Thunderbirds’ Lord Parker’s ‘oliday (October 23rd 1966) and Edge of Impact (October 28th 1965), with Fireball XL5‘s very first episode Planet 46 first airing on October 28th 1962.
We’ll be back next weekend with another Gerry Anderson news roundup – so stand by for action!
