The Gerry Anderson Store is excited to announce we will be selling bricks collected from the original Century 21 Stirling Road Studios for charity for the benefit of the Alzheimer’s Society Gerry Anderson Tribute Fund!
Earlier this year the demolition of the original Century 21 Studios in Slough began. Many Gerry Anderson fans were very sad to see the demise of the iconic buildings which had once been home to the legendary AP Films/ Century 21 teams. The buildings had a long history during the 1960s with Stingray, Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds among others having been filmed there and even famously featured in the opening sequence of the pilot episode of The Secret Service.
Now fans will be able to buy one of 150 original bricks. Each is engraved and numbered and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
The bricks were salvaged from Stirling Road by Anderson Entertainment. This was possible thanks to the kind permission of SEGRO and Francis Construction.
All profits from the sale of the bricks will go to the Alzheimer’s Society’s Gerry Anderson Tribute Fund. Money raised will support local services and research. Alzheimer’s Society research programmes hope to find successful treatments for the disease.
Fans will remember Thunderbirds’ creator Gerry Anderson lived with the disease until his death in 2012. People all over the world have been raising money in his name since then.
Fans can buy these special pieces of history for £45.00 each including free postage (UK only – International shipping extra). Those wishing to increase their donation can choose to pay more for their Century 21 commemorative brick using the various options provided.
Purchases are strictly limited to one per customer.
The Century 21 bricks are now available for pre-order. They will be delivered in time for Christmas 2017.
