Thunderbird 2 is, for many, the most iconic of all Gerry Anderson’s legendary craft. Piloted by Virgil Tracy, Thunderbird 2 is the mighty freighter of International Rescue, transporting the ingenious heavy engineering equipment needed to save lives around the world.
Continuing Anderson Entertainment’s highly anticipated range of premium collectibles, we are delighted to present this new, enhanced edition of Thunderbird 2. Based on the same highly detailed tooling as the original edition, this collectible has been developed with additional features that bring one of International Rescue’s most famous missions to life.
Finely crafted from Zamac metal and ABS plastic, the model features a removable equipment pod with a functioning opening door, allowing you to display Thunderbird 2 in its iconic rescue configuration. The legs are also detachable, providing further display options, while the set includes two detailed recovery vehicles ready to be loaded into the pod for action.
Based on updated 3D designs taken from the original studio models, the tooling corrects many of the historical discrepancies seen on other Thunderbird 2 products. Finished with screen-accurate decals and bespoke dirt paint effects inspired by the original television models, every detail has been carefully considered to capture the appearance of Thunderbird 2 as seen in the classic Thunderbirds series.
The model is presented on a fully sculpted scenic base inspired by the Tracy Island runway, providing the perfect setting for display. Thunderbird 2 and its accessories are secured in foam housing within a deluxe presentation box, with a soft-touch matt finish interior featuring a schematic, specifications and detailed information on the craft.
Limited to just 3,000 units worldwide, and complete with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, this enhanced Thunderbird 2 is an essential collectible for Thunderbirds fans and collectors of iconic science-fiction memorabilia.
