5 Villains to Watch Out For on Terrahawks Tuesdays!
Anderfans - stay on this channel, this is a Terrahawks countdown! Throughout this year, we've been uploading the entire run of Terrahawks to our YouTube channel. Every Tuesday, you're able to enjoy a newly uploaded episode from Gerry Anderson and Christopher Burr's cult classic 1980s Supermacromation TV series - entirely for free!
As the series reaches the halfway point on the channel, here's a scary selection of classic Terrahawks villains to watch out for as episodes continue to upload every Tuesday.
5. Lord Tempo

Zelda's personal master of time combines cunning chronological capabilities with plenty of sly charisma. Lord Tempo makes his debut in My Kingdom for a Zeaf and reappears in The Ultimate Menace, First Strike and Timewarp, employing his time-shifting powers to confuse and terrorise the Terrahawks. With his brilliantly absurd mafia-styled get-up and strangely echoing voice, Lord Tempo is one of Terrahawks most visually distinct enemies. Despite his antagonistic stance against the Terrahawks, he's not a totally evil character, hinting at a morally grey stance. His abilities to manipulate time are countered with a firm sense of responsibility to maintain a secure handling of timestreams, which outweighs his allegiances to Zelda.
4. Cold Finger

Not all of Terrahawks' most apocalyptic villains are housed within Zelda's cryogenic store and held in her iron grip. Cold Finger is one such character whose tense alliance with Zelda buckles under the strain of both character's diabolical natures. Still, Cold Finger unleashes one of the most deadly threats against the Terrahawks. Appearing in his titular episode, Cold Finger threatens to unleash a new ice age across the Earth. Cold Finger's glacial attacks suggests that he possesses powers more brutal and surreal than perhaps even Zelda's.
3. The Space Cyclops

Terrahawks features an abundance of memorable alien monsters, whether humanoid personalities or far deadlier primal forces. Away from the menacing charisma of Lord Tempo or Cold Finger, the grotesque, destructive and unstoppable Space Cyclops gifts the series with one of its most visually frightening creatures. A monster even Zelda is wise to steer clear from, the Space Cyclops is a creature that consumes all in its path. Space Cyclops is a powerful showcase of Terrahawks' blend of horror and comedy, keenly felt in the Zeroids' creative efforts to destroy the cyclops from within.
2. The Zyklon

Defying any tangible backstory, the Zyklon matches its awesome devastation with immense mystery. Built and controlled by a gargantuan computer system, the Zyklon's threat is so terrible that it forces a temporary union between the Terrahawks and the androids to stop the mechanical menace from destroying all life in the universe. Visually overpowering, with its pincer-like components, abyss-like entrance and disembodied voice, the Zyklon's amoral stance ensures that it can't be reasoned with or destroyed by force. Unless a certain sergeant major can convince it otherwise...
1. It-Star

No Terrahawks villain is any more comically cruel-hearted or manically intelligent than It-Star. The gender-fluid offspring of Cy-Star, their memorable debut in Two For the Price of One thankfully sidesteps any explicit detailing of how precisely an android can come to bear children. With It-Star comes a renewed vigour to the androids' antagonistic role in Terrahawks. It-Star matches Zelda's cunning with a variety of dangerous schemes, often involving the unfortunate Yung-Star as comical cannon fodder. From deceptive attacks designed to lure Terrahawks' members into inescapable traps to exploiting their split personality to trick the Terrahawks, It-Star's villainy is far more intelligently-driven than the brute force of other creatures. Curiously, It-Star's presence wanes as Terrahawks neared the end of its 39-episode run, but they're a welcomely devious addition to the androids.
