    The Official Gerry Anderson Store is excited to bring you a range of officially licensed Thunderbird model kits by manufacturer AIP. Here we have The Mole.

    Able to bore through the hardest rock, the Mole is a manned 30 ton tunnelling machine, carried to the rescue site by a caterpillar tracked trolley and is normally transported to the danger zone in Thunderbird 2’s Pod 5. An inbuilt thermal imaging system contained within the Mole’s drill bit ensures that buried individuals are not endangered by rock falls caused by the drill’s movement. The Mole is one of the few pod vehicles to appear in numerous Thunderbirds episodes.

An Astounding Model

Just like to say I have always been fascinated by Thunderbirds and 'The Mole' especially as it used to be driven out of Thunderbird 2 pod. And it's set into action straight away, what an amazing machine. But I'm an avid Thunderbirds fan and now into my 60's still have high regard for anything Thunderbirds. To the kit, well it's moulded nice, like the different colour sprues too, I'm in between models at the moment so have not built the Mole yet, but I'll look forward to doing it and weathering it up too. It was delivered quickly and nicely packaged. So I hope I can show you a photo when it's done. So thanks Gerry Anderson for a wonderful Series such as Thunderbirds, loved Captain Scarlet too. Neither series will ever age in eons, the future is the present.

Nice quality and look forward to building

As a Thunderbirds fan since I was a child, which was many moons ago, I was always fascinated by the Mole and it's appearance in multiple episodes, so this model was a must for me. Looking thru the kit, it seems to be of excellent quality and moulded well. As it is not built at this time, I can't really rate it overall, but I'm sure it's gonna make a lovely addition to my collection. Was fabulous service too by this company, courteous and quick.
