I have a confession to make, I have never ventured into the early black & white era of Gerry Anderson's TV shows until just recently. The reason being, I was one of those kids that was spoilt with Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet etc. which I thought to be superior to the old stuff. How wrong I was. Four Feather Falls is a truly brilliant show with a charm and warmth all of its own. I couldn't wait to get home to enjoy the next adventures with Tex Tucker and co. This DVD set includes all 39 episodes and added to that are a while host of superb bonus features : Commentaries with Gerry Anderson on selected episodes, 6 promo trailers, Stills gallery featuring original music from the legendary Barry Gray, Barry Gray home movie press call footage and paperwork PDFs and finally a PDF of the Four Feather Falls annual. I think you'll agree this DVD is pretty well stocked. All this for a bargain price. I'm really happy I made the decision to give the black & white era a chance. It's been brilliant to discover what is essentially, to me, brand new adventures from The Worlds of Gerry Anderson. I give this beautiful show 10/10.

Instant and beautifully clear nostalgia. Like all the early series on TV stereotypes abound but that is part of the experience and knowing better as you get older. Great fun and memories of great clarity.

While this is a fun and enjoyable show to watch it is also a very special moment for tv and Gerry's career. This was the first time the new puppet technology, later to become Supermarionation, was introduced. I find it interesting to watch, knowing how Gerry's film making career would later progress from this to much later.
